How to link ration card with aadhar card ? Check EKYC/aadhaar linking status 2024

Instructions have been issued by the Supreme Court to link the ration card with the Aadhaar of the consumer to prevent black marketing of ration. On the website of Food Supplies Department (wbpds.wb.gov.in), the work of linking ration card with Aadhaar has been started. Therefore, now the ration card holder can link his Aadhar card with the ration card through the link present on this website. You can read the complete process of Aadhaar linking in the steps given below -

Step 1

First of all you have to go to the official website wbpds.wb. Visit on gov.in. Click on the 'three bars' given at the top right corner.

Step 2

Click on 'e citizen'. Online services provided to citizens will be shown. From these click on 'link aadhaar and mobile with your ration card number'.

Step 3

Now an ekyc page will open in which you have to select the category of ration card and fill the ration card number. Now click on the "search" button.

Note - You will follow the above method only when your ration card is active. If you want to link a new or deactivated card to your Aadhaar, then select the link as given in the above image.

Step 4

Now you will see the ration card details. Click on "Update Aadhaar and Mobile Number". Enter your Aadhaar number here and click on "Verify".

Step 5

Now an OTP will be sent to you mobile. Enter the OTP in the given box and click on “Do e-KYC” button.

Step 6

Your photo will be displayed with your Aadhaar. Check all the information here and click on “Verify and Save”.

Step 7

Now you will be asked to update your mobile number. If you want to update, click on “Yes” or “No”. After that save.

In this way your Aadhar card and mobile will be successfully linked with the ration card.

For this, the process till step 2 has to be followed. In the screenshot given there, the link "Check aadhaar linking status" is given just below the Aadhar linking option. Click on link giving there.

Now a page will open where you have to select the ration card number, category. You can check EKYC status by clicking on "Check status" button.
